Please excuse my kitten from photobombing my picture. But, it's time to talk about DONUTS!!!
I don't encourage eating a lot of gluten free substitute foods as they are full of more sugar and sodium than their regular counterparts. However, every now and then, you just need a donut. Today was one of those days.
Let me tell you, these vanilla glazed donuts are fantastic! I enjoyed them chilled, mostly, from the refrigerator. However, I did manage to heat one up to test it out. The cake is very thick and a little dryer than normal donuts, so heating up the doughnut made it a smidgen too dry. It was on the "cakey" side, I suppose, is a way to think of it. As for the glaze? Perfection. I'm a glaze snob, so believe me when I say the glaze taste awesome! Not too sweet, either! Just, try these at room temperature or chilled. Heating up isn't the way to go.
Chilled, these are delicious; especially with a floral tea!!!
So far? These are my go-to doughnuts. I'll update accordingly should this change!
